Email and submission triage
The right submission in front of the right underwriter, first
Submissions do not arrive in order of value. They arrive in the order brokers press send, and the queue is worked from the top. Triage brings the submissions that fit your appetite, and those with a deadline, to the top of the pile.
What it does
- 01Reads the inbox the submissions arrive in, including the attachments
- 02Assesses each one against your appetite: class, size, territory, occupancy, anything you underwrite to
- 03Ranks the queue, with the reason attached, and routes each submission to the right underwriter or team
- 04Flags what is missing, so the broker is asked once, early in the process
What it changes
- Quotes go out sooner on the submissions you most want to write
- Declines happen early and cheaply, before anyone has read the whole submission
- The queue becomes visible: what is in it, how old it is, and what is waiting on a broker
What you can check
Every submission carries its assessment, its ranking and the reasoning, logged and exportable. Underwriters can see why something was ranked where it was, and override it.
What it looks like
Illustrative. Built around your firm, your clients and the systems you already run.
Questions
- Does it decline business on its own?
- No. It ranks and it flags. Accepting, declining and pricing stay with your underwriters.
- Can it handle a broker who sends everything in one thread?
- Yes. Threads are read as threads, and attachments are matched to the risk they belong to.
- What if our appetite changes?
- The appetite rules are yours, and they change when you change them.
